Day #3, live from Maine

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

It’s the third and final day of the EMAC trial here in partly cloudy Skowhegan. Tip is scheduled for Jumpers 1, and Trot for Standard 3 and Jumpers 3. Sherry may have added them both in Snooker 1, but we’ll see whether that becomes official. Worth noting is that Sherry and Trot are one Snooker round away from their Level One title — sure would be nice if that happened here today, but we’ll just have to see, won’t we?

Snooker was its old snookery self, but we didn’t want that color ribbon anyway.

Trot had a 2nd place finish in Standard and just had a nice leisurely Jumpers run. We’re waiting for Tip’s Jumpers class and that will be it for the weekend.

Tip was just a little zoomy in his Jumpers run and was able to jump that last jump like a star.

Trot’s Jumpers was seven seconds too leisurely and so he didn’t Q in that.

It’s day #2 here in foggy Skowhegan, ME.

Today’s lineup, which I’m writing down primarily for my own benefit: Tip will run in Colors level 1. Trot has four classes: ring #1 — Colors 2, Standard 3; ring #2 — Full House 1, and Wild Card 2. Run fast and clean, my puppies!

It was a blur, the whole day. Between juggling dogs and Trot juggling rings there was a lot going on. But in the end, it was another great run for Tip and FOUR Q’s for Trot! Yay Sherry and Trot!!

Dog of the day — who will it be?

Live from Skowhegan, ME — it’s three days od CPE!

Last night we arrived and Tip has his first-ever public performance — and he was great! He ran his own course, you might say, but he was perfectly behaved. We were so proud of him!

On to Friday’s dog of the day — will it be speedy trot or that other one? He’s getting ready to run “snooker” and we’ll see what kind of Trot we have today.

Snooker — He’s in, jumping, tunneling… and oh no, wrong end of a tunnel! But he was doing well. Better luck later!

9:30… Jackpot is next, and Sherry is plotting her strategy. She needs to get 17 points in 29 seconds. Trot seems to have his game snout screwed on real tight, so we’ll see!

10:50 — Trot is on deck… And he’s up! And super awesome!!!

It’s a Q in “jackpot”, and fourth place out of… how many? 9? 16? Yay, Trot-Trot!!

1:00 — it’s almost jumpers time! go fast, Trot-Trot!

Boy was he fast… and clean! Yay!!

Jumpers was a Q!

And then there was a level 3 “standard” class… level 3, no walk in the park, so… another Q!! and a 2nd place red ribbon!

Yay Trot-Trot, a 3-for-4 day today! Tune in tomorrow for more agility news!
